It is time to Become Dangerous
Once again (or truly – Still…) our world is unsteady…so much is happening outside of our control and we are often left in a state of destabilization and overwhelm;
triggering wounds and fears and hopelessness so strong that we retreat from the world around us.
Can anyone blame us?
No.
There is no blame here.
I, too, felt the rise of this take me over during the Dreamtime, and the urge to shut it all out was incredibly powerful.
Withdraw. Retreat. Distract.
Hide.
But then… then came the whispers. And then, the Howling…
Even before the assault of constant headlines of unhinged men doing unhinged things that arrived in January, the Goddess in all Her many voices began to HOWL…
ENOUGH.
Echoing upon itself, over and over and over again.
But how? I whispered.
She answered.
Resist.
Your silence will not save you.
It is time for women to find their power.
It is time for women to find their resistance.
What does this mean?
How does one find resistance when it has been stolen? When the very word ‘resist’ has been taken and become a slogan for the political systems that oppress?
We find our own unique resistance and lean into it.

This year, we will no longer turn away,
We will Face our righteous Rage,
We will Embrace and Embody the Monstress within,
Claiming our rights to safety and protection,
And Casting off and out, anything that threatens it.
Anything that dares will face our Monstress Howl, our fangs and claws and teeth and eyes;
turned to stone and returned to the Earth
Alchemized.

- Sacred Container of Sisterhood ritually held at the magical Riverside Acres, a private off-grid retreat space north of Edmonton near Vimy, Alberta.
- Shared off-grid accommodations in intimate cabins along the property
- Fifteen acres of sacred land along the river with walking trails
- There are 6 fire pits with cooking grills, as well as a propane BBQ and a large fridge onsite to store meals
- Firewood, fresh water, lawn chairs, and a glorious outdoor cedar shower provided onsite

What makes Haven’s Retreats different?
🌿 The summer immersion is limited to ONLY 18 women to keep the work deep, intimate, and safe
🌿 This is NOT another ‘weekend away to relax, journal, and yoga’ – while Haven’s retreats definitely build in space for personal time on the Land, writing to come into relationship with Self, and movement of bodies in ways to attune and somatically connect – the focus is on DEPTH work.
We dare to look and seek and immerse ourselves in the Underworld; we sink, get messy, grieve, howl, and curse; we turn towards that which the world tells us to reject and hide; and even afraid, we Journey into dark corners and spaces, bringing healing and love with us.
🌿 With professional facilitation and guidance, we build safe and sacred community containers where women can lay down their armor and be truly Seen, Witnessed, and Welcomed as their Authentic Selves.
🌿 In the Circle we come to experience, sometimes for the first time, that our authentic Othered Self can find true Belonging.
🌿 In the Ceremonies and Rituals, we come to understand that we are Never Alone. We meet and connect with the live and conscious Indwelling Spirit – of the Land we stand upon, of the work we are doing, of the Collective Divine, of our Ancestral Line… and more.
