Art Therapy Supervision is provided to students and professional art therapists as they gain hours toward graduation or registration. It is also offered to RCAT’s as a continuation of professional development. Through mentoring and guidance, these private, 50-80 minute supervision sessions allow deep explorations into each client’s professional and personal work. Sessions may focus on client work, professional standards and ethics, personal struggles, transference/countertransference, one’s Art Therapist Identity, business coaching, and more.

Nikki has provided Art Therapy Supervision to students at Kutenai Art Therapy Institute since 2022, and has completed The Art of Art Therapy Supervision – Level 2. She is a Registered Canadian Art Therapist and the post graduate hours of supervision received from Nikki will count towards your registration with CATA.
Walking With
Nikki was asked to contribute to a collection of voices around art therapy in Canada, which was published in the book Walking With: An Emerging Dialog with Art Therapists in the Cultural Commons. Her chapter focuses upon navigating the ethics of business and healing, and is subtitled “The Heartwood”.
Walking With is a unique compilation of writings and art from nine geographical and culturally diverse groups of people. It explores the theory and practice of art therapy, cultural differences, ethics in art therapy, the business of art therapy, and Open Studio models.
